Oksana's Produce Farm is a small scale organic farm located in Chestertown Maryland, growing a diverse mix of vegetables and herbs on 7 acres. Oksana rejects agricultural chemicals and searches for better ways to farm. She feeds the soil, and in turn the soil feeds her plants, by working on soil quality using various strategies to regenerate top soil. She pays great attention to diversity by implementing a cover crop system, rotating crops, and recycling unused plants back in the soil in the form of compost. She is trying to understand the partnership between plants and soils microorganisms as well as increase carbon contents of our soil. These strategies, over time, will lead to production of more nutrient –dense food.  Her practices go beyond organic. She creates a beautiful, diverse, and productive ecosystem which provides natural conditions for our plants.

She uses centuries old methods to produce these nutritious and probiotic - rich sauerkrauts and other fermented vegetables. Her raw and vegan fermented vegetables are chemical preservatives, sugar, vinegar and gluten free, and contain little salt.  Her product is made fresh from high quality produce in small batches weekly.  Fermented and organic fresh vegetables.

Farming is always variable and some farms may need to alter practices in extenuating circumstances.

If you're unsure about something or want to know more about the specifics of how your food is made, please contact us or the partner responsible. As a Collective we are a community of people who want to encourage dialogue, discourse, and participation in our local food system. Part of that is your relationship with our farmers!
